The Project of“the development of high performance-price ratio hydrogen storage alloy used for power batteries” has realized achievement transformation
Recently, project “the development of high performance-price ratio hydrogen storage alloy used for power batteries”, belonging to "11th Five-Year" 863 project of energy-saving and new energy automobile, has successfully passed the acceptance check of expert group.
The subject carried out the design of high performance-price ratio hydrogen storage alloy and correlation studies. Rapid quenching technology and surface acid treatment were used to improve the high-rate discharge ability and other electrochemical properties, and reduce the cost. In order to improve the control accuracy of cooling rate and ensure the stability of the product, batch production process was developed. Its product has been used to service hybrid electric vehicle of 2008 Olympic Games, and got a good application result.
A production line of annual output of 5,000 tons hydrogen storage alloy powder has been sited in the Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Nanchang. At present, the first-stage project with an annual output of 2,000 tons of hydrogen storage alloy powder production line has completed and will be put into operation in early 2010. The second-stage project with an annual output of 5,000 tons of hydrogen storage alloy powder production line is expected to be completed in December 2011.
